Aloo Chicken Ka Salan


Ingredients:

1/2 kg Chicken (Whole for taste)

4 Potatoes (cubed)

1 cup Water

6 tbsp Clarified Butter

2 Medium Onions (sliced)

1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste

1 1/2 tbsp Coriander Powder

1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder

1 Tomato (sliced)

1 1/2 tsp Salt or as per taste

1 tbsp Red Chillie Powder

2 Green Chillies

2 Sprigs Coriander Leaves

1 Black Cardamom

1 Bay Leaf

1 Cinnamon Stick

4 Cloves

4 Peppercorns


Instructions:

Add chicken, onions, ginger-garlic paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder, tomato, salt, red chillie powder, green chillie, black cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, Peppercorns and water. Bring these ingredients to boil. When it gets boiled, then add clarified butter. When the clarified butter is separated, then add boiled potatoes along with its water. Cook it as much as you want the consistency of Salan (gravy). In the end, add coriander leaves and green chillie before serving. Eat it with roti.


Tip 1🧂:

Use whole chicken for better taste.

Tip 2🧂:

Separately boil potatoes, otherwise they will not get tender along with the chicken. Use the same water that you have used for boiling potatoes to get the maximum taste.

Tip 3🧂:

Following tips 1 and 2 will give you the taste of Aloo Ghosht.
