Bhagaar Laga Hua Hareesa (Pakistani Style Hareesa)
Ingredients:
250g Chicken (Boneless)
250g Barley Porridge
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 tsp Black Peppercorns (crushed)
1 tsp Salt or as per taste
For Bhagaar:
1 Medium Onion (sliced)
4 tbsp Clarified Butter
Instructions:
Add chicken, cinnamon stick, black peppercorns and salt in water. Bring it all to boil. When the chicken is tender, remove it from the boiled water mixture. Grind the chicken pieces to make a smooth paste. Add barley porridge to the water mixture. When the barley porridge gets thinkened, add the chicken smoothened paste to it. In a frying pan, turn sliced onion lightly brown in clarified butter. When done, add both the clarified butter and the browned onion slices to the chicken-barley. Pakistani Style Hareesa is ready to be served.
