Lauki Chicken (Bottle Gourd and Chicken)
Ingredients:
1/2 kg Chicken (Boneless pieces)
1/2 kg Lauki
1 1/2 Glass Water
1/2 cup Clarified Butter
2 Medium Onions (sliced)
1 tbsp Coriander Powder
1 tbsp Red Chillie Powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
2 Medium Tomatoes (sliced)
1 Bay Leaf
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 Black Cardamom
8 Peppercorns
8 Cloves
2 Sprigs Coriander Leaves (chopped)
4 Green Chillies
1 tsp White Cumin Seeds
1/2 tsp All Purpose Spice
Instructions:
Add chicken, water, onions, coriander powder, red chillie powder, Turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, bay leaf, Cinnamon Stick, black Cardamom, Peppercorns, Cloves. Boil till the water evaporates. After that pour clarified butter. When the clarified butter separates. Fry chopped Lauki separately. When it turns light brown, then add it to the chicken pot. Cook them together for a bit. Add water to your desired consistency. Cook it at a low flame till the Lauki becomes tender. When it gets tender, then add coriander leaves, green chillies, white cumin seeds and all purpose spice. Cook it for a few minutes. Lauki Chicken is ready.
