Brown Piyaz ke Chawal (Fried Onion Rice)
Ingredients:
3 cups Rice
4-6 tbsp Clarified Butter
1 Medium Onion
1 Black Cardamom
1 Bay Leaf
1 Cinnamon Stick
4 Cloves
4 Peppercorns
1 tsp White Cumin Seeds
Instructions:
Soak rice for at least 15 minutes. Fry sliced onion. Add water, black cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, and peppercorns. Boil the water and add white cumin seeds. Add soaked rice. When all the water evaporates, then cook some more for about ten minutes or till they are appropriately tender.
Tip:
Eat these rice with Aloo Ghosht for the best taste.
