Chicken Aloo Matar Salan


Ingredients:

500g Chicken (Boneless)

4 Potatoes (cubed)

1/2 kg Green Peas

1 Tomato (sliced)

1 Red Onion (sliced)

1 tbsp Coriander Powder

1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste

4 Green Chillies

1 Bunch Dill Leaves

1 1/2 tbsp Fenugreek Leaves (dried)

10 Cloves

10 Black Peppercorns

1 Black Cardamom

1 Cinnamon Stick

1 Bay Leaf

1 tsp Salt or as per taste

1 tbsp Red Chillie Powder

1/4 Turmeric Powder

1/2 cup Clarified Butter

1 cup Water


Instructions:

Boil potatoes separately to the extent that they don't become overly tender and then keep them aside for later use. Add chicken in a pot. When it turns white, then add all the rest of the ingredients, except Clarified Butter, Dill Leaves, Dried Fenugreek Leaves, Green Peas and Potatoes. Mix these well and then add water. When the water evaporates, then add Clarified Butter. Fry it further and when the clarified butter separates, then add Potatoes and Green Peas and add water to the extent you want the consistency in your gravy. Keep it on a flame for a few minutes. In the end, add dill leaves and dried fenugreek leaves. When done, then serve it with roti.
