Chicken Karhai
Ingredients:
500g Chicken (boneless)
4 Tomatoes (sliced and skinned)
4 tbsp Yogurt
1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
2 Red Onions (sliced)
1/2 tsp Salt or as per taste
1 tbsp Red Chillie Powder
1 tbsp White Cumin Seeds
4 Green Chillies (whole)
1 cup Clarified Butter
1 Bay Leaf
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 Black Cardamom
4 Cloves
4 Black Peppercorns
Few Ginger Pieces for Garnishing
Instructions:
In a pot, pour clarified butter and add chicken pieces. Turn them white. Then add red onions, Ginger-Garlic Paste, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, black cardamom, cloves, black Peppercorns, white cumin seeds, green chillies, yogurt, tomatoes, salt and red chilli powder. Fry these and leave them on flame till chicken gets tender. When done, serve with julienned ginger pieces.
